General
Our team from Bhutan and Germany now have a very close relationship. In recent years, we have been able to invite our guides to Germany every year for training and cultural exchange, which makes it easy for us to respond to customer requests and our local tour guides are therefore very well prepared for your visit.
In Bhutan, people traditionally greet each other with "Kuzuzangpo la." This is a polite and respectful greeting used for both "good day" and "hello." Using "la" at the end of the greeting adds extra politeness and respect to the expression.
When greeting each other, it is also customary to place your hands slightly together in front of your chest and make a slight bow, especially in more formal or respectful situations. This gesture underlines the respectful and friendly nature of greeting in Bhutanese culture.
