Yes, you need a visa for Bhutan. It is issued by the Tourism Authority of Bhutan. As an official tour operator, we take care of this and will send you the Bhutan visa via email approximately 2 weeks before the start of your trip.

The best time to visit Bhutan is during the spring and autumn seasons (March to May and late September to December), when the weather is mild and visibility is clear. SDF stands for "Sustainable Development Fee" and is a mandatory fee levied on foreign tourists in Bhutan. This fee contributes to financing education, health, and infrastructure projects in the country. The SDF fee is currently USD 100 per person per night. This fee is included in our tour price, and as a tour operator, we remit it to the government before the trip to Bhutan.

The usual way to get to Bhutan is by plane. Bhutan has an international airport, Paro International Airport. Selected airlines such as Druk Air (Royal Bhutan Airlines) or Bhutan Airlines offer direct flights to Paro from various cities such as Delhi (India), Kathmandu (Nepal), Mumbai (India), and Bangkok (Thailand). Alternatively, travelers can enter via Kolkata, Bagdogra, or Guwahati by road into western or eastern Bhutan or take flights from there to Paro. It is important to note that travel to Bhutan is only possible through registered tour operators, who must arrange all necessary visa and travel arrangements.
