Start the day with an inspiring hike to the Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Chorten, which stands high above the valley. In the afternoon, explore the majestic Punakha Dzong, strategically located at the confluence of two rivers. There are many highlights in the Punakha Valley for you to discover.

Today you will go on a 3-4 hour hike to Nebo Chorten, in the afternoon you will visit the villages of Talo and Nobgang, famous for their traditional architecture and lush gardens. Visit the spiritual center at the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang nunnery, which promotes local handicrafts.

Your journey continues on a scenic drive into the mysterious Haa Valley, which has only recently been opened to visitors. On the way you will visit the Dobji Dzong, an impressive example of traditional Bhutanese fortress architecture.

Visit the historic temples Lhakhang Karpo and Lhakhang Nagpo, which offer deep insights into Bhutan's spiritual traditions. Explore the surrounding villages to learn more about the locals' way of life.

Enjoy an impressive hike on the Haa Panorama Trail, which leads through the stunning nature of Bhutan and passes several spiritual sites. This scenic hike is a great way to discover the flora and fauna as well as the surroundings of the valley.

On the way back to Paro, you cross the Chelela Pass, the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, and enjoy the spectacular view. A hike on the pass takes you to the remote Kila Nunnery monastery, which you visit. You then drive into the Paro Valley and can explore the small town...

A highlight of your trip is the visit to the Taktshang Monastery, spectacularly clinging to a cliff above the Paro Valley. This monastery is one of Bhutan's holiest sites, associated with the legend of Guru Rinpoche, who is said to have meditated here on the back of a tigress.

Take the last opportunity to walk through Paro to take in the last impressions of this unique city and perhaps buy a special souvenir. You will then be taken to the airport where you will begin your journey home.
